Brooklyn Bridge Park is always going to be one of my favorite places to go to especially during the summer. My friends and I grabbed some ice cream and just chilled on a nice lawn for a few hours. For dinner we took the L train to Bedford Ave and got dumplings and beer. Nothing beats cheap food with good company and we were so full believe it or not!

Happy Summer, dolls! Celebrated the first weekend of the summer with this dress that I've been waiting to wear for about 4 months now. I thrifted it from Salvation Army and it was actually a maxi dress. I hacked off half of it since I thought it would look cuter. I'm excited for this summer! Lots of sunsets, BBQs, and ice treats! Sunday Attire

It just dawned on me that I rarely wear white, or patterns. But behold, I really liked this outfit. I wore it to church today and without a doubt, this is something I would repeat wearing again. Yep.

At last, a break from the frigid cold weather! It was nice enough to wear just a maximum of 2 layers today. Super thumbs up (:

I threw on a simple studded collar shirt and my favorite oversized denim jacket. I think my Docs are finally broken in

after a week of sore feet so now they're comfy as a cloud! I'm thinking about studded the sleeves to this denim jacket and

maybe the back of my boots too. What do you guys think? Oh on another note -- these photos were taken with my new iphone 5!

Camo Love

Today I went to Governor's Island with my mom and my cousin. It was really hot but really peaceful. I would definitely go back here again since the ferry ride is free anyways.

On Saturday I went out to the city with my best friends. We had a lunch date and bubble tea at this cute place called TKettle on St. Marks.
We tried our best to beat the heat by doing some shopping down at SoHo, going from one store into another -- taking advantage of their air conditioning. Topshop was still having their sale so I got a few stuff from there. I'll make a separate haul post on my mini-shopping adventure! (:

Happy 4th of July to you, America! It was so humid today that my first thought of what to wear was comfort, comfort, comfort! 

I went for a basic white v-neck and some thrifted high-waisted shorts. I wanted to add a little patriotic spice and wore a red bandana that I picked up from Walgreens for a dollar yesterday. I spent the day shopping with my Mama and going to a family BBQ.

Sunflower Child

I'm so happy that 4th of July is tomorrow! I get to relax tonight & take it easy tomorrow. I've decided to start on a DIY that I've been putting on hold, with my mom helping me out too! But here's an outfit that I wore over the weekend. I absolutely love flower crowns / headbands. When I saw this at Forever21 for just $1.50 I caved and got it.

Recent Haul / New clothes

As usual, all I do is go shopping. This is a mixture of thrifted and mainstream items that I got throughout the month of May. There's a lot more, but I'm way too lazy to go look for them. My room is in the process of re-organization at the moment. I'm getting a new closet also which hasn't been assembled yet so all my clothes are resting in garbage bags for now. God-forbid someone accidentally thinks it's trash and throws it out :x I think i'll go stick post-its on them before that tragedy actually happens.

This weather was practically calling for pretty clothes. I wanted to have a simple outfit and just bling it up with accessories. Plus, cobalt blue is simply too irresistible to not wear with some minor color-blocking. I take "sunday best" to heart.
